 The World Cyber Games is the biggest eSports event in the world and it is hosted near the end of every year as professional gamers from all over the world to compete in the biggest stage of their lives.For years now the DotA community has been writing petition and saying DotA should be a part of the World Cyber Games but this has never been taken seriously by the organizers. The biggest reason for this is probably DotA has never been considered an official game and could not be competed on the big stage.When the organizers released their game list for 2011, obviously there was still no DotA and the fans are now riled up and as we speak, hundreds of DotA fanatics has left comments on WCG official website as a petition so that they accept DotA as an official eSports.
Even famous professional players such as Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi has put up a comment for WCG to accept DotA. The German superstar is now asking the DotA community to register an account on the website and join in on the petition.http://www.wcg.com/6th/fun/eventzone/200912_want/want.asp

DotA is much different than Warcraft III's original melee maps. I would say it deserves its own spot in WCG.
